Elevate monkey bread with frozen dough and cinnamon-sugar apples.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 large apple - peeled, cored, and chopped into 20 chunks
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 0.5 stick butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) while spraying a fluted tube pan (such as Bundt®) with cooking spray.
  • Combine the white sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Toss in the apple chunks and mix well until evenly coated. Let it sit for a moment.
  • Divide the dough into 20 pieces, then wrap each piece around a coated apple chunk, sealing it shut by pinching. Dip each dough-wrapped apple in melted butter and roll in brown sugar. Arrange the dough balls in even circles in the prepared pan.
  • Bake until beautifully golden, about 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Invert pan onto a large plate, allowing the caramel mixture to cascade over each piece. Allow to cool briefly before serving.
