Sweet and salty Chex Mix with candied pretzels, popcorn, and pecans. Bursting with vanilla and other delectable flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup unpopped popcorn
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups small pretzel twists
  • 4 cups crispy rice cereal squares
  • 2 cups pecan halves
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to a cozy 250°F (120°C).
  • In a large pot, combine popcorn and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Pop over low heat, shaking constantly to prevent burning. Remove from heat when popping slows.
  • Combine butter or margarine, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Let it simmer without stirring for 5 minutes on medium-low heat. Remove from heat and carefully stir in baking powder and vanilla extract.
  • Spread out a tempting mix of popcorn, pretzels, cereal, and pecans in a sizeable baking pan. Drizzle the irresistible butter mixture over the snack mix and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, remembering to stir halfway through.
