Elevate your breakfast with delicious homemade apple pancakes topped with caramel syrup for a perfect fall treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Butter for greasing skillet
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced into rounds
Instructions:
  • In a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup butter until bubbling. Stir in brown sugar until fully dissolved. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3 minutes, stirring often, until the syrup slightly thickens. Take the pan off the heat and mix in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla for a fragrant finish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together Bisquick™ mix, milk, eggs, cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth.
  • Preheat skillet over medium heat and grease it with butter. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into the skillet. Once the batter stops spreading and sets, place 1 apple round on top of each. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until bubbles form on the surface and edges are dry. Flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until browned. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet each time to prevent sticking.
  • Enjoy while warm and drizzle with syrup before serving.
