Satisfy your sweet tooth with this quick and easy Mexican-inspired dessert! Caramelized bananas and cinnamon-sugar wrapped in warm tortillas for a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 firm ripe medium bananas
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 6 flour tortillas, (7 to 8 inches in diameter)
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/3 cup caramel, chocolate or butterscotch topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F and grease a cookie sheet.
  • Peel bananas and slice lengthwise; brush with refreshing lemon juice. Arrange a banana half on each tortilla. Combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside 1 tablespoon. Sprinkle the bananas with the rest of the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  • Wrap each tortilla snugly around a banana, then lay them seam side down on a baking sheet. Brush them with a generous amount of butter and sprinkle with the remaining sugar and cinnamon.
  • Bake until golden brown, then transfer to dessert plates and drizzle with topping.
