Elevate your beef burger with tangy blue cheese and sweet caramelized onions for a gourmet twist!
Ingredients:
  • 100g Blue cheese, thinly sliced
  • 20g butter
  • 2 red onions, cut into wedges
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 20.00 ml red wine vinegar
  • 740g beef burger
  • 4 hamburger buns, split, toasted
  • 50g baby rocket leaves
  • MasterFoods Barbecue Sauce, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the onion and cook for 15 mins, stirring occasionally, until soft and starting to caramelize. Stir in the garlic and cook for 2 mins until fragrant. Add the sugar and vinegar, cook for 5 mins until caramelized. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Heat up a barbecue flat plate or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Arrange the bread roll bases on serving plates. Add rocket, onion, burger, and cheese on top. Drizzle with barbecue sauce and place the remaining burger buns to assemble.
