  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Cook and stir green beans for 5 minutes. Add walnuts, pour in water, cover, and cook for 10 minutes until most water evaporates.
  • Combine salt, white sugar, and brown sugar with beans and walnuts, ensuring even coating. Cover and simmer over medium heat for an additional 5 minutes. Let it cool slightly before serving.
