Green beans sautéed with crispy bacon and caramelized brown sugar, a simple and delicious side dish for all ages.
Ingredients:
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2.5 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • sea salt to taste
  • 3 slices smoked bacon, cut into small strips, or to taste
  • 4 tablespoons chicken broth, or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Collect all the necessary ingredients.
  • Warm fragrant oil in a skillet over gentle heat. Introduce garlic and sauté for half a minute.
  • Add green beans and brown sugar to the mixture, then generously season with sea salt.
  • Toss in the savory bacon, turn up the heat to medium, and give it a good stir.
  • Add chicken broth to the pan, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally, adding more broth if desired. Cover and continue cooking for another 10 minutes. Uncover, simmer over low heat until liquid evaporates, about 10 more minutes. Serve and enjoy!
