Loaded Carne Asada Fries: Grilled meat, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream on crispy fries for a crowd-pleasing dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 pound beef flank steak, cut into thin strips
  • 2 cups oil for frying, or as needed
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen French fries
  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon guacamole seasoning mix
  • 0.5 (8 ounce) package shredded Mexican cheese blend, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup sliced green onions, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup sour cream, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a glass or ceramic bowl, mix together soy sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, Cajun seasoning, and lime juice. Add the steak, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for maximum flavor.
  • Preheat the outdoor grill to a sizzling medium-high and lightly oil the grate. In a deep-fryer or large saucepan, heat oil to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Grill the steak over high heat until it's perfectly firm and cooked to your preference, about 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Fry the French fries in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy, for about 3 to 5 minutes in batches, adding more oil if necessary. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
  • Combine ripe avocados with zesty guacamole seasoning in a bowl, ready to enjoy.
  • Layer the fries, cooked carne asada, and Mexican cheese on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave for 20 seconds. Top with guacamole, sour cream, and green onions.
