Quick and easy pumpkin monkey bread drizzled with chai glaze made with Bisquick™ mix!
Ingredients:
  • 3 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously spray a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine Bisquick™ mix, pumpkin, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla in a large bowl until a soft dough forms.
  • In a wide shallow bowl, whisk together the remaining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  • Form dough into cinnamon-sugar coated balls, using about 2 tablespoons of dough for each.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, combine 3/4 cup of butter, brown sugar, whipping cream, vanilla, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved, then let it boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and pour into a pan. Gently place the dough balls in the pan, being cautious of the hot butter and sugar mixture.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool on a rack for 10 minutes before gently turning it out onto a plate.
  • While waiting, prepare the chai glaze. Microwave the milk in a glass container for about 30 seconds until it is just hot to the touch. Add chai tea bags and let them steep for 15 minutes. Squeeze the bags to extract any liquid they have absorbed.
  • In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar with chai mixture a few tablespoons at a time until desired consistency. Pour the glaze over the monkey bread on a plate. You may not need to use all the chai mixture.
