Cheesy green onion and buttermilk biscuits - quick and savory delight in 25 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1/3 cup shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 450°F and grease a cookie sheet. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and mustard. Gently fold in onions and cheese.
  • Combine the buttermilk and oil, then mix into the flour mixture until a soft dough forms. Use a spoon to drop 8 dollops of dough onto a cookie sheet.
  • Bake until golden brown, usually in 9 to 11 minutes, then serve warm.
