Savory Cheddar and green onion biscuits pair perfectly with chili, soup, or salad year-round.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 cup 1% buttermilk
Instructions:
  • - Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Blend in butter using a pastry cutter or 2 knives until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Add Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and onion. Pour in buttermilk and mix until well combined. Spoon mixture onto the baking sheet in 1/4 cup portions, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the biscuit tops are lightly golden, about 12 to 15 minutes. Serve while warm.
