Fluffy scones with a tangy twist from sour cream and a savory kick from Cheddar cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 0.5 cup canola oil
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a bowl and mix well. Gently fold in the Cheddar cheese.
  • Combine sour cream, oil, milk, and eggs in a small bowl and whisk together. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough 10 to 12 times, then pat it out to a 3/4-inch thickness. Cut into 3-inch squares or circles using a cutter, and transfer to the baking sheet.
  • Bake in the hot oven until lightly golden, approximately 15 minutes.
