Irresistible pear pie with a brown sugar and Cheddar cheese crumble topping.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 6 cups peeled and sliced pears
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • unbaked pie crust
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for the perfect temperature for your dish.
  • Mix together the flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and Cheddar cheese, then blend in the butter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
  • Toss the sliced pears with lemon juice in a bowl. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Add the sugar mixture to the pears and toss well to coat evenly.
  • Place the pears in the pie crust and sprinkle the crumble mixture on top. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, around 45 minutes.
