These irresistible pastry twists are perfect for any occasion, whether you're in need of a snack or hosting guests.
Ingredients:
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 1/2 small brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2 short cut bacon rashers, finely chopped
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 20g butter, melted
  • 82.50 ml grated colby cheese
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • Olive oil spray
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 220C/200C fan-forced and grease 2 baking trays. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, sauté onion and bacon until onion is softened and bacon is golden, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
  • Place the pastry on a board and brush it with butter. Sprinkle the bacon mixture, cheese, and parsley on top. Cut the pastry in half, then each half into 10 strips. Twist the strips and place them on prepared trays. Finally, spray with oil before baking.
  • Bake one tray at a time for 10 to 12 minutes until golden and puffed. Let them cool on the trays for 5 minutes, then serve warm.
