Ingredients:
  • 40.00 gm margarine
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 bacon rashers, diced
  • 500g sausage mince
  • 500g pork mince
  • 250.00 ml tasty cheese, grated
  • 2 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1.20 gm celery salt
  • 250.00 ml breadcrumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 carrot, shredded
  • 40.00 ml fresh basil, chopped
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 6 sheets puff pastry
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Microwave the margarine, onion, and bacon for a minute to soften, then let it cool.
  • Whisk 1 egg in a bowl and set aside as egg wash.
  • Combine all remaining ingredients (excluding puff pastry) in a separate bowl.
  • Take the pastry sheets and cut them in half. Brush the pastry with egg wash, then place 2 tablespoons of the mince mixture along one side of the pastry. Roll the pastry up. Repeat this process with the rest of the ingredients. Finally, cut each roll into quarters.
  • Arrange the rolls on a baking tray and bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes until beautifully golden. Let them cool slightly before serving alongside your preferred sauce.
