Cheese and Onion Drop Biscuits

Savor these golden brown cheese and onion biscuits.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup cold butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions (8 medium)
  • 1 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 450°F. Combine flours, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Use a pastry blender or fork to incorporate the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Gently fold in the cheese, green onions, and milk until the dry ingredients are just moistened.
  • Spoon 12 dollops of dough onto a cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake until golden brown, then transfer from the cookie sheet and serve warm.
