Cream cheese and onion infused Seattle salmon burgers on brioche buns - a delectable way to savor fresh or leftover salmon fillets.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 ounce) fillet salmon fillet
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.75 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 brioche buns, halved
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Evenly season salmon with a touch of salt, pepper, and dill. Finish with a drizzle of fresh lemon juice before transferring to a baking sheet.
  • Cook the dish in the preheated oven until the fish easily flakes with a fork, for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Adjust the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place brioche buns on a baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until fragrant. Add the onion slices and sauté, stirring occasionally, until they caramelize and turn soft, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Evenly slather the creamy cream cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Then, delicately layer one half of the delectable salmon fillet on each bun and generously crown it with onion.
