Bake delicious vegemite and cheese scrolls for an effortless and nutritious lunchbox option.
Ingredients:
  • 4 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 62.50 ml Vegemite
  • 750.00 ml grated tasty cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 220°C. Line 3 baking trays with baking paper. Place one sheet of pastry at a time on a chopping board. Spread Vegemite evenly over the pastry, then generously sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Roll each pastry sheet up from the edge nearest you, making sure not to roll too tightly.
  • Cut each roll into 12 equal portions by first slicing each roll into quarters and then cutting each quarter into thirds. Brush the tops of the pastry scrolls with beaten egg.
  • Arrange the scrolls, cut-side up, on baking trays, making sure to leave space for them to expand. Bake until the pastry turns golden and the cheese melts, which should take about 15 to 20 minutes. Let them cool for 5 minutes on the trays, then move them to a wire rack. Serve and enjoy!
