Spicy cheese wafers with red pepper flakes, hot sauce, and crunchy pecans.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce
  • 0.75 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Combine butter and flour in a medium bowl until well blended. Stir in Cheddar cheese, salt, red pepper flakes, hot pepper sauce, and pecans. Shape the dough into a roll, wrap it in parchment paper, and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Thinly slice the dough into wafers and arrange them on a baking tray.
  • Bake wafers in the oven until golden and crisp, for 15 to 20 minutes.
