Cheesy Chicken and Vegetables

Italian-inspired chicken skillet with melty cheese - a delizioso one-pan dinner!
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 lb uncooked chicken breast tenders (not breaded)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 bags (12 oz) frozen broccoli & cheese sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet or 4-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add chicken, sprinkle with pepper, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned.
  • Add the frozen vegetables to the sauce chips and stir well. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, the sauce chips have melted, and the vegetables are tender.
  • Add the fragrant basil and the tangy Parmesan cheese into the dish. Allow it to cook for an extra 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything is perfectly heated through.
