"Indulgent slow cooker garlic bread - cheesy, buttery, and unbelievably easy!"
Ingredients:
  • 170g butter, chopped
  • 375g (21 ⁄2 cups) plain flour
  • 8.00 gm baking powder
  • 2.40 gm salt
  • 250ml (1 cup) buttermilk
  • 3 garlic cloves, very finely chopped
  • 40.00 ml finely chopped fresh continental parsley leaves
  • 40.00 ml finely shredded fresh basil leaves
  • 55g (1 ⁄2 cup) pre-grated 3 cheese blend
  • Fresh basil leaves, to serve
Instructions:
  • Grease the bowl of a 5.5L slow cooker with a light touch and line it with baking paper. Melt the butter by placing it in a microwave-safe jug and microwaving on High for 1 minute or until melted.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Create a well in the center and pour in buttermilk, egg, and 125ml (1⁄2 cup) melted butter. Use a flat-bladed knife to mix until the dough comes together.
  • Transfer the dough onto a gently floured surface. Knead for 30 seconds until it becomes smooth, then separate it into 8 pieces.
  • Mix garlic, parsley, and basil with the melted butter to create a flavorful mixture in a shallow bowl. Roll a piece of dough into a smooth ball, then coat it with the garlic mixture. Place in the slow cooker and repeat with the rest of the dough and garlic mixture.
  • Cook on High for 2 hours or until the bread is fully cooked. Then, sprinkle with cheese, cover, and cook for an additional 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly. Serve with extra basil leaves sprinkled on top.
