Cheesy Italian Chicken Pie

Upgrade your dinner with a cheesy chicken pie made easy with Bisquick® mix.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups cut-up cooked chicken
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (5 ounces)
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 eggs
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 9x1 1/4 inch pie plate with shortening. Combine chicken, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and 1/2 cup tomato sauce; spread mixture into the pie plate.
  • Blend Bisquick, milk, pepper, and eggs together until smooth. Drizzle the mixture over the chicken.
  • After baking uncovered for 35 minutes, sprinkle 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese on top. Bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving with the remaining tomato sauce, heated if preferred.
