Crispy Parmesan Chicken

Cheesy Italian panko-crusted chicken cooked to crispy perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup Alfredo pasta sauce (from 15-oz jar)
  • 2/3 cup Progresso™ Panko Italian style crispy bread crumbs
  • 2/3 cup finely shredded Parmesan or Asiago cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a cookie sheet with foil and generously coat it with cooking spray.
  • Tenderize chicken breasts by flattening them to a 1/2 inch thickness between sheets of plastic wrap using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  • Place the pasta sauce in a shallow dish, and mix the bread crumbs and cheese in another shallow dish. Dip the chicken into the sauce first, then coat it with the bread crumb mixture.
  • Arrange the chicken on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
