Cheesy Italian Tenderloin Steaks

Elevate your Italian dinner with quick and cheesy broiled beef steaks - ready in 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks, 1 inch thick (about 4 oz each)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 plum (Roma) tomatoes, seeded, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh or 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (1 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to broil. Place the steaks on the rack in a broiler pan. Brush both sides of the steaks with oil and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  • Broil the steak 4 to 6 inches from the heat source, flipping it once, until it reaches your preferred level of doneness (approximately 10 to 15 minutes for a medium steak at 160°F).
  • Take out the broiler pan from the oven. Top steaks with tomatoes, basil, and cheese. Broil for about 1 minute until cheese starts to melt. Serve right away.
