Cheesy portabella sliders, broiled in 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 portabella mushroom caps, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/2 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon Montreal steak grill seasoning
  • 6 slices provolone cheese, each cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 12 mini hamburger buns
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook mushrooms for 3 to 5 minutes until they start to brown, stirring occasionally. Add onion and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in grill seasoning.
  • Preheat the broiler in the oven and prepare a cookie sheet by lining it with foil or parchment paper.
  • Arrange the bun bottoms on a baking sheet, spoon the mushroom mixture on top of each, add half a slice of cheese. Broil for 30 to 60 seconds until the cheese is melted. Garnish with chives, then sandwich with the bun tops.
