Cheesy tomato rice bake with mince

Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 500g beef mince
  • Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g
  • 2 tsp mixed Italian herbs
  • 200.00 gm arborio rice
  • 250.00 ml cheese, grated
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180C.
  • In a sturdy pan, heat some oil, then saute diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant. Add ground meat and cook until nicely browned, using a spoon to break it apart.
  • Combine tomatoes, beef stock, tomato paste, herbs, and arborio rice in the pot and stir well. Bring to a boil, then let it simmer for a minute or two.
  • Transfer the mixture into a 4L lasagne dish, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake in the oven for 45 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked. Enjoy with some crusty bread on the side.
