Cheesy Tuna-Vegetable Chowder

Savor quick and easy cheesy tuna chowder with veggies using Progresso® tuna, mixed veggies, and chicken broth. Ready in 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (1 medium)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves, crushed
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar and American cheese blend (4 oz)
  • 2 cans (5 oz each) Progresso™ tuna, drained, flaked
Instructions:
  • In a 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender. Lower the heat and stir in flour, mustard, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  • Slowly pour in the milk and broth. Add the frozen vegetables and marjoram. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  • Combine the decadent cheese and savory tuna in the pan, delicately stirring until the cheese becomes a luscious, melted delight.
