Try these kid-friendly cheesy pastry pretzels for a fun twist on a classic snack!
Ingredients:
  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, just thawed
  • 20.00 ml Vegemite
  • 50g (2/3 cup) finely grated cheddar
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 20g (1/4 cup) finely grated parmesan or vegetarian hard cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven and line a baking tray. Cover one puff pastry sheet with Vegemite and cheddar, then top with the second sheet of pastry brushed with egg. Seal the edges by pressing them together before baking.
  • Slice the pastry stack into 12 strips. Connect the short ends of 2 strips and press firmly to seal. Twist them into a pretzel shape, pressing the ends together to lock in place. Arrange on a baking tray. Repeat to create a total of 6 pretzels. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes until beautifully golden and puffed.
