Indulge in a sweet and flavorful cherry-blueberry pie with a double crust that's both simple and irresistible.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (15 ounce) package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
  • 1.5 cups frozen blueberries
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) for a perfectly crisp and golden-brown finish.
  • Place one pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Gently mix in cherry pie filling and blueberries. Transfer the mix into the pie crust. Cover with the remaining crust and seal the edges by pressing them together. Create a decorative edge by fluting or using a fork. Whisk together egg white and water, then brush the mixture over the top of the pie. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of sugar.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the crust turns golden brown, about 45 to 55 minutes. If the edges get too dark, cover them with foil. Allow to cool for at least 2 hours for the filling to set before serving.
