Easy and irresistible cherry cobbler made with frozen cherries, buttery dough, and a sweet cornstarch syrup. Enjoy warm with whipped cream.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 3.5 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it nice and toasty for your culinary creation.
  • Spread a layer of cherries evenly on the bottom of a 9-inch square pan.
  • Combine 3/4 cup sugar, butter, flour, salt, baking powder, and milk in a bowl until well mixed. Spread the dough over the cherries.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of sugar and cornstarch together. Carefully stir in boiling water. Drizzle the mixture over the dough.
  • After preheating the oven, bake the dish for 45 minutes until it's lightly golden. Serve the dish warm for a delightful experience.
