Easy slow cooker cherry cobbler using frozen cherries for a delicious twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen pitted cherries
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1.5 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 0.25 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup 2% milk
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over low heat, blend cherries, 2 tablespoons sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and almond extract. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, gently stirring and pressing down on cherries with a spoon. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker once done.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. In a separate large bowl, cream together 3/4 cup sugar and butter until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Then, stir in milk. Gently fold in the flour mixture. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  • Slow cook for 4 hours or speed things up by cooking for 2 hours on High.
