Whip up a quick and delicious cherry cobbler with a buttery crust in just 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk (from 12-oz can)
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 can (21 oz) more fruit cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup frozen dark sweet cherries, thawed
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish or a shallow 2-quart casserole with cooking spray. In a large bowl, mix topping ingredients until smooth and set aside.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the rest of the fruit mixture ingredients and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring often, until the mixture is heated through. Spoon the fruit mixture into a dish and pour the topping evenly over the fruit.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for about 20 minutes before serving warm with whipped topping or ice cream.
