Cherry cobbler: Fresh cherries atop golden brown batter, a versatile summer dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 1.25 cups white sugar, or to taste, divided
  • 1.25 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick ®)
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups pitted cherries
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and liberally grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
  • Combine milk, 3/4 cup sugar, baking mix, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl until well blended. Transfer the batter into the greased baking dish.
  • Combine the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar with the cherries in a bowl, then generously spoon the mixture on top of the batter in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until beautifully golden for 45-50 minutes.
