Indulge in this luscious cherry cream cheese dessert for a year-round cherry delight!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup crushed shortbread cookies
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese
  • 0.5 cup low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Instructions:
  • Mix together shortbread cookie crumbs, butter, and sugar in a small bowl, ready for use.
  • In a bowl, blend cream cheese, yogurt, condensed milk, lemon juice, almond extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth using an electric mixer.
  • Sprinkle a generous tablespoon of cookie mixture into each of the four 8-ounce canning jars or small dessert dishes. Follow with a luscious layer of the cream cheese mixture, topped with the cherry pie filling. Repeat layering for a delightful dessert experience.
