Whip up some homemade chewy Anzac biscuits for a timeless treat!
Ingredients:
  • 100.00 gm Traditional Rolled Oats
  • 250.00 ml plain flour
  • 118.80 gm brown sugar
  • 56.10 gm Desiccated Coconut
  • 125g butter, chopped
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 1.25 gm Bicarbonate Soda
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160°C/140°C fan-forced and line 3 baking trays with baking paper.
  • In a bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, and coconut. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, syrup, and 2 tablespoons of cold water. Stir for 2 minutes until butter melts. Add bicarbonate of soda. Pour butter mixture into the oat mixture and combine.
  • Take leveled tablespoons of the mixture and form them into balls. Arrange on baking trays, making sure they are 5cm apart. Gently press down to flatten. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Let them sit on the trays for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool. Serve and enjoy!
