Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon Italian seasoning (such as Trader Joe's® 21 Seasoning Salute)
  • 1.5 cups warm milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup salted butter, melted
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (24 ounce) package frozen breaded chicken breast fillets (such as Kirkwood®)
  • cooking spray
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic, and seasoning in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and mix until well combined. Gently fold in Cheddar cheese.
  • Heat your air fryer to a sizzling 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 5 minutes.
  • Air fry the chicken for a total of 13 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • First, warm up the oven to a cozy 200 degrees F (95 degrees C. Then, get your waffle iron preheating as directed by the manufacturer and give it a quick spritz of nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spoon 3 tablespoons of batter onto the waffle iron and cook until golden brown and steam stops, approximately 5 minutes. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and keep warm in the oven. Repeat the process with the rest of the batter.
  • Prepare delectable waffle and chicken sandwiches after finishing cooking the waffles.
