Creamy, cheesy chicken breasts baked with mushrooms for a delicious family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 pinch paprika, or to taste
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 0.5 cup processed cheese (such as Velveeta®), diced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained and chopped
  • 0.66666668653488 cup sour cream
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Brown them in a large skillet with melted butter for about 5 minutes per side. Transfer the chicken to the casserole dish.
  • Combine mushroom soup, milk, onion, processed cheese, Worcestershire sauce, and mushrooms in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Heat until cheese melts without boiling. Stir in sour cream until smooth; pour over chicken in dish and cover with foil.
  • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven until tender with clear juices, approximately 45 minutes. Uncover, baste with sauce, and bake for an additional 30 minutes, basting occasionally.
