Crispy, tender homemade chicken nuggets: a timeless comfort food introduced in America in 1983, transforming Southern fried chicken into bite-sized brilliance. Our healthier baked recipe uses lean tenderloins for a delicious, additive-free version. Kids and adults will love this easy-to-make classic, with vegetarian and taco variations also available. Ready in just 25 minutes, pair with sauces for a snack or elevate to a meal with sides like mashed potato in winter or sweet potato fries in summer.
Ingredients:
  • 125.00 ml plain flour
  • 2 eggs, lightly whisked
  • 250.00 ml dried breadcrumbs
  • 500g chicken tenderloins, cut into 3cm lengths
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and line an oven tray with baking paper.
  • In individual shallow bowls, arrange the flour, egg, and breadcrumbs. Season the flour with a pinch of salt and finely ground white pepper.
  • Coat the chicken in flour, then dip in egg and breadcrumbs, placing on a lined tray. Repeat with remaining chicken pieces. Lightly spray with oil.
  • Roast in a preheated oven, flipping occasionally, for 10-12 minutes until beautifully golden and fully cooked.
