Delicious chicken parmigiana: breaded chicken baked with sauce and cheese for a flavorful Italian meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 ounces dry bread crumbs
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 0.75 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Collect all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a medium baking sheet.
  • First, crack the egg into a small shallow bowl. Next, put the bread crumbs in a separate shallow bowl. Then, coat the chicken by dipping it into the egg followed by the bread crumbs. Finally, lay the coated chicken on the baking sheet.
  • Roast in the oven until fully cooked and juices are clear, around 40 minutes. Take out of the oven.
  • Spread half of the spaghetti sauce evenly on the bottom of a 7x11-inch baking dish. Arrange chicken breasts on top of the sauce, then pour the rest of the sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheeses are melted and the dish is heated through.
