Grilled whole salmon marinated in spicy Asian flavors - soy sauce, ginger, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lime juice. Ideal for summer gatherings, wrapped in foil for easy cooking.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds whole salmon, cleaned
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chile sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger root
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 lime, zested
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the outdoor grill to high heat.
  • Prepare the salmon by removing the tail and fins, then score the skin with shallow cuts. Lay the salmon on a trio of large, slightly overlapping sheets of aluminum foil.
  • Combine soy sauce, chile sauce, ginger, garlic, lime juice, lime zest, and brown sugar in a bowl. Drizzle the mixture over the salmon.
  • Seal the salmon by folding the foil over it and crimping the edges.
  • For charcoal grill, shift hot coals to one side. Position fish on opposite side without coals directly below. Close lid. For gas grill, place fish to one side and turn off flames below; close lid. Cook for 25-30 minutes. Transfer to platter, drizzle any collected juices, and garnish with green onions.
