Quick and delicious Chili-Mac Soup made with Hamburger Helper™ for a comforting weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 5 cups hot water
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ chili macaroni
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes (from 28-oz can)
  • 1 can (11 oz) whole kernel corn with red and green peppers, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons sliced pitted ripe olives
Instructions:
  • In a 4-quart Dutch oven, sauté the beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally until the beef is fully cooked. Remember to drain the excess fat.
  • Combine hot water, sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper box, chili powder, garlic salt, and tomatoes in the pan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Lower the heat and simmer covered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the uncooked pasta (from the Hamburger Helper box), corn, and olives. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
