Chilli, garlic and basil spaghetti

Whip up a quick and flavorful spicy pasta for dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 375g spaghetti
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 4 green shallots, ends trimmed, finely chopped
  • 2 long fresh red chillies, finely chopped
  • 125.00 ml loosely packed finely shredded fresh basil
  • 100g feta, crumbled
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Shaved parmesan, to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare a pot of boiling, salted water, and cook the pasta following the instructions on the packet until it is al dente. Drain the pasta and return it to the pot.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, warm the oil. Sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and mix in the green shallot and chili.
  • Combine the garlic mixture with the pasta, then add basil, feta, and season with pepper. Toss gently until everything is combined.
  • Transfer the cooked pasta evenly into individual serving bowls. Sprinkle generously with grated parmesan cheese and serve promptly.
