Savory pork-stuffed mushrooms, perfect as a snack or accompaniment.
Ingredients:
  • 15 large fresh mushrooms, stems removed
  • 0.5 pound ground pork
  • 0.25 slice Chinese salted turnip (chung choi), rinsed and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped canned water chestnuts
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon white sugar
Instructions:
  • Separate mushroom stems and either discard or set aside for a different recipe. Gently wipe mushroom caps clean using a dry towel.
  • Mix the pork, turnip, soy sauce, water chestnuts, salt, and sugar in a bowl until well combined. Pack the mushroom caps tightly with the stuffing. Steam the filled mushroom caps over boiling water for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
