Decadent chocolate chip shortbread bars that are irresistible!
Ingredients:
  • 250g butter, softened
  • 107.50 gm caster sugar
  • 375.00 ml plain flour
  • 75.00 gm self-raising flour
  • 95.00 gm Milk Chocolate Bits
  • 95.00 gm White Chocolate Bits
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160°C/140°C fan-forced. Grease an 18cm x 28cm slice pan, then line the base and sides with baking paper, leaving a 3cm overhang on all sides.
  • With an electric mixer, whip up the butter, sugar, and vanilla until they are airy and light. Mix in the flours and chocolate bits. Press the mixture onto the base of the pan. Using a small knife, gently score the mixture into diamond shapes without cutting all the way through.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and firm to the touch. Allow to cool completely, then cut along the lines on the shortbread before serving.
