Try these mouthwatering German pretzels.
Ingredients:
  • 450g bread mix
  • 7g (1 sachet) dried yeast
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • 330ml milk
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 36.00 gm Nutella hazelnut spread
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 60.00 ml chocolate sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Start by spreading the bread mix on a work surface. Create a well in the center and add yeast, sugar, warm milk, and oil. Use a spatula to incorporate the flour until a dough forms.
  • Shape the dough into a ball and knead for 10 minutes or until smooth. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp tea towel, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Divide the dough into 12 portions and roll each into an 8cm x 25cm rectangle. Spread each piece with a half teaspoon of Nutella on half its length. Roll up from the long side and twist into a pretzel shape. Place on a tray and let them sit for 15 minutes to rise.
  • Brush the egg wash over the tops of the pretzels and sprinkle on the colorful sprinkles. Bake until golden, about 12 minutes.
