Experience the holiday cheer with delectable chocolate baubles that double as decorations.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 x 350g pkt frozen chocolate butter cake (Sara Lee brand), thawed, icing removed, cut into cubes
  • 100g butter
  • 250ml (1 cup) sweetened condensed milk
  • 100g (1/2 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 16 white marshmallows
  • 65g (3/4 cup) desiccated coconut
  • 80g chocolate sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Process the chocolate cake in a food processor until it forms fine crumbs.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with condensed milk and brown sugar until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the pan's side, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  • Combine cake crumbs with the butter mixture, ensuring they are evenly mixed. Then, gently wrap 1 tablespoon of the cake-crumb mixture around each marshmallow to create a ball shape.
  • Mix coconut and chocolate sprinkles on a large plate. Roll chocolate balls in the mixture to coat evenly. Place on a tray lined with non-stick baking paper. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour until firm.
