Whip up quick, easy homemade frosting with minimal ingredients and time.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons milk
Instructions:
  • Combine powdered sugar and butter in a medium bowl, mixing with a spoon or electric mixer on low speed until well blended. Gently fold in vanilla and chocolate.
  • Gradually mix in milk until frosting is smooth and spreadable. For a thinner consistency, add more milk slowly. To thicken, incorporate a bit of powdered sugar. Use to generously frost a 13x9-inch cake or fill and frost an 8- or 9-inch two-layer cake.
