Easy cherry-chocolate dessert made with Bisquick® mix ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 3/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 2/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup white baking chips
  • 2 teaspoons shortening
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Combine powdered sugar, almond extract, egg, and cream cheese in a medium bowl. Add Bisquick and mix well. Shape the dough into a 12-inch circle on an ungreased cookie sheet. Crimp the edges if desired. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden brown.
  • Evenly scatter the chocolate chips over the hot crust and bake for about 1 minute until the chips are melted. Spread the melted chocolate evenly and allow it to cool for 5 minutes. Carefully loosen the dessert and transfer it to a serving plate.
  • Spread the pie filling over the chocolate. Melt the white baking chips and shortening over low heat, stirring often until smooth, then drizzle over the pie filling.
