Indulge in these irresistible chocolate chip pretzel cookies for a fun twist on a classic treat. Guaranteed to wow your taste buds!
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups lightly crushed tiny twist pretzels, divided
Instructions:
  • Collect all the required ingredients. Preheat the oven to 375°F (180°C) and prepare 4 baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  • Combine the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
  • Cream together butter and sugar using an electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes, ensuring to scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.
  • Crack one egg into the mixture and beat until fully incorporated. Then, add the second egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  • Combine dry ingredients into the sugar mixture, gently stirring with a rubber spatula until flour is just visible.
  • Incorporate chocolate chips along with 1 1/2 cups of pretzels and gently mix until evenly distributed.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets and gently press the remaining 1/2 cup of pretzels onto the tops of the cookies.
  • Bake cookies in two batches until the edges turn a light golden brown, about 10 to 12 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes.
  • Move cookies to a wire rack to complete cooling.
