Oat cookie crust & topping with nuts and melted chocolate in a delicious bar.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/4 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 (6-oz.) pkg. (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped salted peanuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and coat a 13x9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine all base and topping ingredients in a large bowl and mix at low speed until crumbly. Set aside 2 cups of the crumb mixture for topping. Press the remaining mixture in the bottom of a sprayed pan to form the base.
  • In a small bowl, mix condensed milk, peanut butter, and vanilla until smooth. Spread evenly over the base. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and peanuts. Top with the reserved crumb mixture, gently pressing down.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown, with the center unset. Allow to cool for 1 hour and 15 minutes until completely cooled. Cut into bars.
